Hurricane-force wind
Roof-to-wall connections and protected windows and doors decide whether a home holds together when the wind comes off the Gulf.
Steel-framed homes · Southwest Florida
Galvanized cold-formed steel where other homes use lumber. A ferrocement shell where they use siding. And a Lease-to-Keys path so you can move in now and work toward buying the home.
01 The problem
Roof-to-wall connections and protected windows and doors decide whether a home holds together when the wind comes off the Gulf.
Humidity finds its way into wood framing. Trapped moisture is the root of rot, mold and the repairs that follow.
Subterranean termites are a fact of life across Florida. Wood-framed walls are a food source; steel isn't.
Lumber contributes fuel. Steel framing is noncombustible — the structure itself doesn't feed a fire.
CyberOne started with a different question: what if a family home were framed with cold-formed steel, the way so many commercial buildings already are?

STRUCTURE
Cold-formed galvanized steel studs, tracks and trusses replace lumber throughout the structure. Steel doesn't shrink, split or warp; it isn't food for termites; and it doesn't add fuel to a fire.
02 The system

The face you live with. Clean, paintable, ready for the family.
Cold-formed steel studs and tracks carry the loads. Noncombustible, dimensionally stable and not a food source for insects.
Sprayed into the wall cavity to fill every bay and seal the home against air leaks.
A synthetic drainage plane that keeps bulk water moving down and out, not in.
A stiff metal mesh screwed back to the steel frame — the key the exterior cement coat grips onto.
A cement coat over the steel mesh. Hard, moisture-resistant and built to take the Florida sun.

ROOF
Roof and wall assemblies are shown for the current CyberHouse models. Approved plans govern the specification for each home.
03 Why it matters
No lumber in the load-bearing structure. Steel doesn't rot, warp, or feed termites — so the frame itself isn't where those problems start.
Every home is engineered for the wind speeds Florida code requires at its exact site, with engineer-sealed plans and impact-rated windows and doors.
Current CyberHouse specifications pair rooftop solar with battery backup, a tightly sealed and insulated shell, a variable-speed air conditioner, ENERGY STAR lighting and appliances, and low-E impact glass. Actual energy use depends on the home, the weather and how you live in it.
Low-emission paints, hard-surface flooring, LED lighting and non-porous quartz counters — with moisture and ventilation handled at the shell of the house.
04 The homes
Single-story, single-slope roofs built for solar, 9-foot ceilings, private entries. Choose by household size. Photos show a completed CyberHouse 7.

Five bedrooms and three baths, with a guest suite that has its own outside entrance for multigenerational living.

Three bedrooms and two baths on an efficient footprint — the same steel structure, shell and finishes, sized for a first home.

INTERIOR
Quartz counters, soft-close cabinetry, stainless appliances, 9-foot ceilings and smart-home controls for lighting, climate and security — specified home by home.

The Lease-to-Keys Program lets you move into a new CyberOne home today while a portion of your monthly lease payment — defined in your lease agreement — is reserved toward your down-payment goal for tomorrow. Ask for the numbers first: lease payment, purchase price and projected mortgage payment, in writing, before you commit to anything.
Your lease is written around one goal: buying the home. The monthly payment is set with your budget and your down-payment target in mind — not just the going rent.
A portion of each monthly payment is reserved toward your future down payment and closing expenses. For example, a buyer who needs $15,000 for the 3.5% minimum down payment on an FHA loan can have the lease structured so that amount is set aside during the term.‡
If your credit needs work, the program may connect you with credit-counseling support during the lease. If you qualify for a mortgage with a payment that fits your budget, you can move forward with purchasing the home. Mortgage qualification is determined by the lender, not by CyberOne.
Purchase requires qualifying for a mortgage during the lease term. Not all applicants will qualify. If you do not purchase by the end of the lease, what happens to any reserved amount (refund, credit or forfeiture) is set by your written lease agreement — ask to see that term, and the current program terms, in writing before you sign.
CyberOne may contribute up to $20,000 under the current program toward buying down your fixed mortgage interest rate, which lowers the monthly mortgage payment. Ask a specialist for a side-by-side of your rent today and a projected full mortgage payment.†
The program is designed to address the usual barriers to a mortgage — down payment, credit qualification and income — through a lease period with a defined savings target, followed by a purchase opportunity. Eligibility, participation and any future loan approval are determined by program terms and lender criteria.†
The home you lease is the home you can buy once you qualify for a mortgage. Part of every payment is reserved toward your own down payment instead of going entirely to rent.

06 Purchase power
Tell us how you're paid and what you pay in rent. We size your purchase power from that, then a specialist calls with real figures: lease payment, purchase price and a projected mortgage payment, in writing.
